Coming off of the 2020 panorama, it became clear that big gains aren’t always possible. I came to the realization that 2020 is just going to suck and there’s nothing I can do about it. I had big dreams for 2020: A new job working on projects that were fun and challenging and getting paid more do it. Traveling to white sandy beaches with a flowing supply of cold rum drinks. Seeing family for graduations and holidays, the list goes on.
Not only are big gains not always possible, but big gains aren’t always needed. I have come to realize that small wins can really be meaningful. A small win for me is making a new 3D printed part that actually works. Writing code that does something useful. Flying a new model for the first time. I can't change THE world but I can change MY world.
2021 is dedicated to working for a simple victory each month. The only requirement is that it must be cool. Stay tuned as I set off to capture Simple Victories each month, 12-0 is way better than 0-1.
